About The Organization
Milestales is a publishing, media, and education consulting firm that strives to provide stories that help us to grow emotionally, physically, and mentally so that we can achieve our greatest dreams, both individually and collectively. Milestales achieves this goal in multiple ways. First, we produce socially conscious and culturally aware books and media. Second, we harness the power of books, media, and storytelling in our education programs, which include training sessions, workshops, performances, residencies, and enrichment programs.

Milestales is distinguishable from other organizations through its holistic consulting services that follow a comprehensive process of assessments, training, action plans, and ongoing support.

  • Diversity climate assessments using customized surveys
  • Diversity capacity assessments using the Intercultural Development Inventory
  • Policy and procedures assessments using benchmarking

Once Milestales has determined where an organization is with respect to its diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging evolution, we customize training program topics such as the following:

Training Topics:
  • Implicit bias and microaggressions
  • Creating a culturally sensitive workplace culture
  • Body autonomy and sexual harassment prevention
  • Respect for all and bullying prevention
  • Leadership and personal development
  • Social and emotional learning
We incorporate interactive training tools into our programs, including:
  • Mindfulness and intentional breathwork
  • Restorative justice circles
  • Visual and performance art
Finally, Milestales will create a customized diversity action plan to guide an organization in reaching its diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging goals while providing ongoing support to enable organizations to reach said goals.

Ongoing Support:
  • Strategic action plans with timelines and goals
  • Continuous review of policy and procedures as standards evolve
  • Forming affinity groups with regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and more
