Joshua D. Waterston practices technology, intellectual property, and business law at Wilftek LLC, with a focus on enabling business owners and entrepreneurs to prevent or resolve legal issues.

He has represented clients in licensing and transactional matters, in Federal copyright, trademark, and patent infringement litigation, and has protected clients’ rights before the Copyright Office and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has handled civil and criminal litigation from trial through appellate stages, having litigated well over 30,000 cases in two decades.

Josh has written about and presented continuing legal education courses on topics involving intellectual property, technology, privacy, ethics, and artificial intelligence. He is the treasurer and trademark chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Section, a member of the PBA ethics and cybersecurity committees, and a member of the American Bar Association committees on intellectual property and privacy. He was interviewed about AI and IP law in the August 2025 issue of Main Line Today.
